Last week, Ngmoco and independent mobile game developer NimbleBit announced that they are bringing Pocket Frogs to Android for the first time with DeNA’s Mobage social entertainment network.
Pocket Frogs (FREE)
“ngmoco is thrilled to partner with NimbleBit to bring Pocket Frogs Mobage to Android,” said Simon Jeffery, Chief Publishing Officer at ngmoco. “Pocket Frogs has proven to be one of the most successful Free-to-Play games on the iPhone and has a tremendous and loyal following.”
Currently Pocket Frogs has over 7.5 million downloads for iOS devices as it makes its way to Andrioid. Pocket Frogs challenges gamers to discover, collect, breed and share more than 15,000 types of unique, stylized frogs. Players can also customize their frog’s habitats and explore their pond to find rewards and discover rare items before visiting their friend’s ponds.
“An Android version of Pocket Frogs has been one the most requested things from our fans,” said Ian Marsh, co-owner of NimbleBit. “Working with ngmoco and the mobage platform allows us to bring Pocket Frogs to a larger audience with a streamlined publishing process.”
DeNA’s Mobage social entertainment network will give developers access to a suite of features to enhance their mobile and social games; including a shared currency, a virtual goods bank system, payment API, advertising management and analytics tools.
